Founded with the goal of promoting dance from classical ballet to contemporary styles in an elegant environment. We value personal attention, high quality and an inclusive community. We create a space where dancers of all levels can explore their passion and develop their skills.
Welcome to The Gstaad School of Dance – a place where excellence, artistry and passion for movement come together.
Founded by a former elite athlete, professional ballerina and actress. The Gstaad School of Dance was created with the vision of bringing high-quality dance education to Gstaad. With a background shaped by discipline, performance and artistic expression, our founder brings years of professional experience directly into every class.
Our school is consists of two divisions: the Ballet Academy and the Dance Lab. Together they unite the discipline and elegance of classical ballet with the creativity and energy of contemporary dance.
The Ballet Academy offers professional classical ballet training based on the renowned Vaganova method, a world-leading approach known for its structured development of technique, strength, musicality, coordination and artistic expression. Students are guided through a carefully developed training system that builds a strong foundation while encouraging individuality and confidence.
The Dance Lab provides a space for exploration and creativity through styles such as Contemporary, Jazz and Hip-Hop. By combining different movement languages students develop versatility, performance skills and their own unique artistic voice.
All classes are taught directly by the founder herself. Every student receives individual guidance, professional insight and dedicated support from an experienced performer who understands the demands and beauty of the dance world.
Whether pursuing dance at a professional level or discovering the joy of movement for the first time, students are welcomed into an inspiring and supportive environment where they can grow, challenge themselves and express their individuality.

MEET TIMA
Your Dance Teacher
Tima is a passionate dance instructor with over 8 years of experience in teaching classical ballet and contemporary dance styles. Trained at the National Dance Academy in Prague, she believe in nurturing every dancers creativity.
Tima is a performer with a rich background in dance and ballet. She began performing just at the age of 4 on the stage of the State Opera and completed eight years of ballet and dance training at the National Dance Conservatory in Prague. Her professional dance experience includes performances at the National Theatre in Prague and other theatres, giving her broad expertise in classical dance.
Beyond dance, Tima has pursued acting and performance, studying at the Munich Acting School, earning stage qualifications along the way. She works as an actress, dancer and voice talent, with credits in film, television and theatre. Her versatile dance skills span is ballet, jazz, modern, burlesque, ballroom and more.
With over 8 years of teaching experience, Tima brings her passion, expertise and supportive approach to every class, helping students of all ages develop technique, confidence and a love for movement.
She is the founder of The Gstaad School of Dance, bringing high quality dance education to the Gstaad region, and wants to give all dance enthusiasts the opportunity to express themselves and grow. She is often on the move, as she is still active on stage or in front of the camera - and teaching here locally.
